New Venue: Stones & Flowers – Santa Cruz Mountains

I am pretty excited about a new venue in the Santa Cruz Mountains called Stones & Flowers – A Barn Retreat. I am trying to get out to visit it so I can share details with all you lovely readers — keep checking back for an in-depth review. For now, visit their website – this location looks pretty incredible if you ask me!

Happened upon this post, and thought you all might like to see a wedding that we shot at Stones and Flowers Barn back in September! http://1985lukephotography.com/2012/11/mr-mrs-clyatt/

    Happy New Year!

Hello! Love your photography! We are considering Stones and Flowers but can’t get a hold of anyone there. Would you happen to know the best way to contact the office there or maybe even the address? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! I have been trying to get ahold of someone there as well and received no response. If I do get one I will email you! Best,

Been trying for over a week to get ahold of someone here!!! Maybe if you can tell us a contact number? Anyone else have any luck?

I’ve been trying for over a month. No luck. :(

I guess I spoke to soon. I received a reply. They are getting back to emails as soon as they can. I think they’re just really busy.

I’ve emailed them twice in the past 3 weeks and I stil haven’t gotten a response. Does anybody have a phone number for them?

I have also sent out 2 emails within the last month. I have not received any emails in return. It’s very disappointing and doesn’t keep like a good sign that the Venus will be easy to work with. I’m glad to see that at least someone has received a email back.

I just received a “Save The Date” for a November wedding there!

I’m in a wedding that will be taking place at Stones and Flowers this fall. My good friend, the bride has had such a horrible time trying to communicate with their site coordinator. After sending several emails and trying to call the venue coordinator (which the number is no longer hers) my friend hasn’t heard back from her in over a month (also to note: my friend paid upfront the full wedding amount)! I can’t believe the lack of communication, help, and hidden costs with this venue. It’s def beautiful, but brides-to-be be aware! I don’t think it’s worth all of the stress and headaches my friend has been through due to this venue. From what it seems, this place is all about collecting your money then leaving you to figure everything else out.

    formula please let me know.
    Thanks,

I had my wedding at Stones & Flowers two weekends ago and have leaving reviews for this place as a caution to those planning on having their weddings here. The communication for this place is terrible. It’s a really pretty spot, but it’s like pulling teeth to get anything done or planned. Just a fair warning for those who want to plan a wedding here.

Does anyone know the exact size of this venue? How many will it accommodate, sq. ft…..

Thank you for sharing this info! Sad that such a beautiful venue is run poorly. I will be dropping it from my list of potentials.

I got married there this past July and have written reviews on wedding wire and yelp as well. The location is SO gorgeous and still with all of the trouble with communication and organization, I would have it there again. Just be warned that there is a lot of trouble with communication & organization and this is really for the couple who is completely dedicated to having a DIY wedding (or has the money for an amazing wedding planning/coordinator).

I have also tried contacting them about having my wedding there and so far – no such luck in hearing back. This breaks my heart because as soon as I saw their website and pictures I have been in love with this site and can not stop thinking about it! Has anyone else figured out a better way to get in contact with them? Phone number? I was thinking about just driving to the site to see if someone will be there to meet with! :)

I’m having my wedding there this summer and haven’t had a huge problem getting in touch with them through email thusfar (just never expect her to reply all to anything, or offer any additional help, or a positive attitude, ever). My main complaint is that they have a hard & fast no liquor rule, including no specialty cocktails at reception hour, and seem really harsh and strict in other ways that don’t make sense to me. I guess they’ve had bad experience with previous guests but it can be a bummer to deal with when trying to plan your celebration.

Thank you Angie for you comment -

How did you originally get in contact with them to be able to take a tour to see the place? Email?

  • Doris on Apr 30, 2014

doesn’t seem the stress of working with this non-responsive venue is worth it, no matter how gorgeous the site is.. too bad. thanks for the responses all-now i don’t have to waste my time waiting on these guys and can move on to other venue options!

Looks like I’m not alone. I have sent 4 emails… through the site, and on Here Comes the Guide. No response. It has been over 2 months. I’ve fallen in love with the space, but worried about this communication issue. If anyone has a phone number, it would be greatly appreciated.
